NFU MUTUAL WELSHPOOL
Having successfully completed a £1m refit of the NFU headquarters based in Stoneleigh, the Planned Office Interiors team were called in to carry out a complete refurbishment of their flagship NFU Mutual agency based in the centre of Welshpool.
Our team were tasked with a 12 week project to create a large, modern and airy office space which was to include a conference room, three private offices and a large kitchen area with storage space. The open plan reception/office area also had to incorporate a giant bespoke feature wall, following a photography competition run by NFU Mutual Welshpool. The winning image was a scene of the iconic Powis Castle.
The new NFU agency was a ground floor space of 290sqm and had been completely stripped out to the bare brick, concrete floor and roof joists.
The project was a complete fit-out including a design which needed to incorporate structural work, partitioning, decoration, carpeting, heating, lighting, air conditioning, plumbing and sourcing of bespoke office furniture. A complete electrical rewire was also required.
Our team also worked with NFU Mutual to incorporate some special features into this project and still deliver it within budget and on time. This included an intelligent lighting system called LiveLink, which allows all the lighting in the building to be controlled via Wi-Fi on your iPad, an instant boiling and chilled water drinking tap in the kitchen area, and an LED strip system to illuminate their impressive 10×3 metre photographic feature wall.
Stephen Kenyon, Senior Agent at NFU Mutual Welshpool, said: “Planned Office Interiors have been excellent to work with – professional, meticulous and open to ideas. The team were friendly, approachable and great fun, and it’s been fantastic having them around and supporting us on this project.
“The new office makes us a flagship agency, and as soon as clients walk in their attention is grabbed by the eye catching feature wall, large open space and sophisticated look and feel. We’re extremely pleased with the end result and can’t wait to officially move in.”
